  • Exhibitions and Shows (12)
    1. Bundaberg Arts Festival Bundaberg Arts Festival is proud to be involved with showcasing local, regional and rural professional and amateur artists' works during the first week of October. Through the kind sponsorship of local businesses, displays of paintings, pottery, ceramics, quilting and other media arts are displayed for the benefit of the community and visitors alike.
    2. Bundaberg Christian College Sew Whats Crafty Expo The Bundaberg Christian College Sew What's Crafty Expo is on again this year and all stall holders will be back to tempt you with their products. There will be over 50 exhibitors on site exhibiting craft such as Beading, Scrap booking, Woodwork, Soaps, Candles, Glass Blowing and much more.
    3. Bundaberg Early Holden Club Incorporated-All Holden Day The Bundaberg Early Holden Club - All Holden Day will be holding their Show, Shine, Swap Meet and Sound Off in early May. There will be a courtesy bus for entrants at the meet for entrants to tour Bundaberg. As well there will be a jumping castle, stalls, rides for kids, food stalls and music on the day, plenty of trophies in all categories of Holden to be won plus raffles.
    4. Bundaberg Gem Fair The Bundaberg Gem Fair is held by the Bundaberg Gem and Mineral Society Incorporated and is an annual fund raiser event for the club. This fair is attended by a variety of traders from all around Queensland plus quite a few grey nomads who also enjoy this hobby.
    5. Bundaberg Orchid Societys Annual Autumn Orchid Show The Bundaberg Orchid Society's Annual Autumn Show will be held over the Mother's Day weekend in May, the theme this year will be Orchids in Fairyland.
    6. Bundaberg Quilt Exhibition The Bundaberg Quilters will be celebrating 25 years as a group and this special exhibition will include more than 250 quilts, traditional and contemporary that have not been shown before, a quilt challenge to be voted on by visitors, works by the Textile Art Group as well as market stalls of handmade articles and trader’s stalls. There will be a guest quilter who will demonstrate her work during the exhibition plus demonstrations of traditional and contemporary methods. Light refreshments will be available at a reasonable cost and all the family are invited to come along and enjoy the excellent range of quilts that will be on display.
    7. Bundaberg Regional Show The Bundaberg Regional Show is on again this year with the usual attractions for all the family. The adults will enjoy watching the dog shows being judged in the main pavilion as well as admiring the many crafts, paintings, fruit and vegetables that are on display. The children have not been forgotten as the sideshow attractions will be there to keep them occupied, and maybe some of the adults will be adventurous and try the rides! This is a great family show and one of the highlights of Bundaberg each year.
    8. Bundys Aussie Country Muster Bundy's Aussie Country Muster is on again this year with a whole week of live Country Music, family entertainment at its best. There will be concerts by local artists, bands and invited professional guest artists featuring daily walk up entertainment with Rocket and Ally. An old time dance will be held on Wednesday night and a Variety Concert by selected guest artists on Thursday and Friday nights.
    9. Seaweed Exhibition One of the current exhibitions at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery is Seaweed. This installation is designed to highlight the importance of the ocean, where plants are the foundation of the food chain and their health is critical for the maintenance of marine ecosystems.
    10. Strike A Pose Exhibition The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery presents one of their next exhibitions in Gallery One, titled 'Strike a Pose' with miniskirts of the 1960s to the Bohemian fashions of the late 1970s. Lee Lin Chin will be show-casing photography from these two dynamic decades, with images drawn exclusively from the National Archives of Australia's diverse photographic collection, House of Osti fashions 1975, when long flowing 'Granny' dresses entered fashion's mainstream with the hippy movement.
    11. They Came Exhibition They Came is a satirical look at the world through the eyes of the everyman. The exhibition examines responses to end of the world scenarios using a visual aesthetic akin to the sci-fi movies of the 1950's. The photographs are snapshots from a future in which the world has become over run by monstrous invaders, caused and constructed through human inaction, which are snapped by the not so innocent bystander.
    12. Wide Bay Australia International Airshow The Wide Bay Australia International Air Show is a two day extravaganza for aviation enthusiasts featuring aircraft from a bygone era, including aircraft from WWII, right up to the present day. Held on Saturday and Sunday both days are devoted to aerobatic and other displays of aircraft from pre-war through to the latest RAAF aircraft such as the Super Hornet.

    1. Moore Park Beach Annual Festival Of Arts Moore Park Beach Festival of Arts is an event that includes a temporary gallery in the Community Hall, last year there were over 200 entries and every year it gets bigger. Children's entertainment includes Indigenous hands on activities, cultural dancing, food stalls, craft stalls, camel rides, sand sculpting and giant kites. Beach activities include miniature horses, drum making and much more.

    1. Bundaberg Police Citizens Youth Community Craft Markets The Bundaberg Police Citizen's Youth Club Markets are full of handicrafts and hand made trinkets. There are stalls that specialise in woodwork, decoupage eggs, cards, fresh fruit and vegetables and plants. These markets are held on the second Sunday of the month and are worth a visit.
    2. Shalom Sunday Markets Shalom Sunday Markets are the biggest and best market in the area. There are 200 stalls operating every Sunday morning where you can enjoy breakfast, morning tea, a barbecue plus cold drinks as well as coffee and tea from the canteen. For locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables, great craft, jewellery, preloved clothes, garage sales, plants and gardening supplies this is the place to be.

    1. Bundy Bush Poetry Muster Like to listen to bush poetry, then make sure to bring the family along to the Bundy Bush Poetry Muster which is on again this year, and is organised by the Bundaberg Poets' Society Incorporated. If you have never heard bush poetry before, then you are missing out on a fantastic weekend of laughter and sometimes tears, as these masters of spinning a great yarn entertain the audience.
    2. Bundy Country Music Bash The people at MeetnGreet Country (a not for profit organisation) are organising the Bundy Country Music Bash, bringing consumers from all over Australia. The perfect opportunity to showcase vibrant independent country music performers, there will be a party atmosphere with market stalls and family entertainment. These performers are the future of Australian country music and deserve to be heard.
    3. Carl Barron-A One Ended Stick Carl's non-threatening observational style of comedy appeals to everyone; he has touched the hearts of thousands of people with his gentle, awkward, self-conscious, relaxed and original approach to comedy. Since winning Comic of the year and Best Up and Coming Talent in 1993, Carl has established himself as one of the most accomplished comedy performers in Australia and around the world.
    4. Graeme Connors - North To Now Graeme Connors is one of Australia's most loved songwriters and he will be in Bundaberg in August with his new show North to Now. He creates cinematic-style stories with music that we can hold on to; songs that somehow make sense of our lives even when we can't.
    5. Jazz In The Gardens Jazz in the Gardens is on once again so please join us for one of those wonderful relaxing afternoons just listening to the Sounds of Jazz and Blues, enjoying a picnic with wine, cheese and coffee available.
    6. Jon English-Rock Revolution Aussie rock icon Jon English and his astounding troupe of young multi-instrumentalists invite you to come party. Join Jon and a group of multi-talented musicians and singers on a journey through the 60's and 70's to rediscover the music that shaped a generation.
    7. Melissa Bajric In Concert At The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre Moncrieff Entertainment Centre presents the Melissa Bajric Show - a country music spectacular. You've seen her film clips on the Country Music Channel and her name is on the Country Music Wall of Honour in Tamworth. Now you can see this vibrant young lady live and in person as she brings you her spectacular adrenalin charged country music show.
    8. Moncrieff Theatre Presents Men In Pink Tights Making their world premiere in Australia, Les Ballets Eloelle is bringing their new production Men in Pink Tights, the most spectacular, talented and hilarious all-male comedy ballet ever to the Moncrieff Theatre in Bundaberg.
    9. Sleeping Beauty Sleeping Beauty has a special place in the Russian National Ballet Theatre's repertoire as one of the most lavish theatrical events of all time. The original Saint Petersburg staging of Sleeping Beauty in 1890 was a spectacular illustration of the Russian Imperial style at its zenith.
    10. Swan Lake Moncrieff Entertainment Centre is proud to bring you the instantly recognisable music of Tchaikovsky, virtually a signature of classical ballet and the wonderfully dark story of good set against evil, Swan Lake is one of the most famous and loved of all works, it is impossible to imagine the ballet world without it.
    11. Tales Of The Underground If you are interested in the history of mining in Queensland, then you won't want to miss these three short plays about mining by Angela Betzien, Victoria Carless and Rod Ainsworth which will be performed in late June.
    12. The Sleeper Murders The Bundaberg Players have been busy with their next production titled 'The Sleeper Murders' which will be shown in early June.
    13. Wizard Of Oz Bundaberg State High School will be presenting The Wizard of Oz in late May and the students have worked extremely hard to make this a fantastic show for the whole family. The musical is a pleasure to watch because of the empathetic characters who serve as archetypes for society. From the Cowardly Lion, to the Wicked Witch, to Dorothy who learns that "there is no place like home," the characters are sure to delight the audience.

    1. Bundaberg City To Coast Community Bike Ride The City to Coast Community Bike Ride is not a race but a chance to have a relaxed ride and enjoy the scenery of the coastal area and the sea. The route closely follows the Burnett River before turning inland and continuing through cane and small crop fields, eventually making its way to the Esplanade.
    2. Bundaberg Ring Road Run The Ring Road Run is an annual event which is scheduled on the Sunday of the Queen’s Birthday weekend. This long weekend provides people all over Australia the opportunity to visit the Bundaberg region and participate in a running event while enjoying the wonderful activities Bundaberg has to offer – visit Mon Repos Conservation Park, taste test at Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, tour the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, learn history at Hinkler Hall of Aviation and the Bundaberg Railway Museum or just enjoy a lazy day at one of the beaches surrounding the coast of Bundaberg.
    3. Bundaberg Veterans Cricket Club Eight-A-Side Carnival Bundaberg Veterans Cricket Club-8-A-Side Carnival is on once again. It is for veteran teams over the age of 40 years. It will be held over the May Day weekend with each team playing at least four games with a format of 14 overs bowled per side and each game takes approximately two hours.
    4. Cane2Coral Fun Run And Walk Get those legs ready and join 2,500 other runners and walkers on the Cane2Coral Fun Run and Walk in early August. Whether you are an elite runner or a weekend walker, make sure that you are part of the action be it strolling, sprinting, rolling, running or even travelling by pram, but whatever you choose, you will be helping to support The Queensland Cancer Council and Bundaberg Surf Life Saving Club. There are two courses with the first one being a 15 kilometre run which starts from Quay Street or try the less challenging one which begins at Kalkie School. There is prize money on offer to the winners of the 15 kilometre race or you can just enjoy the amazing atmosphere filled with music and entertainment.
    5. Wide Bay Patriots Dice Run The Patriots Australia Wide Bay Chapter is holding their annual Snake Eyes Dice Run again this year with a motorcycle run which is held to benefit the Salvation Army Red Shield Defence Services. There will be entertainment at the end of the ride, as well as stops along the way for a rest break. Also at the finish of the ride there will be great raffles and huge cash prizes. This event is a lot of fun and all riders are welcome to attend.
